Dr. Vadim Gritsus

Dr. Vadim Gritsus is a surgeon with advanced laparoscopic training and expertise in bariatrics. Dr. Gritsus trained at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gritsus personally performed over 4000 weight loss procedures as well as other advanced operations. Dr. Gritsus believes that patients who embark on the weight loss process do best in a nurturing, supportive environment. Julie Zavadenko APN

Julie Zavadenko, APN, is a Nurse Practitioner, working with us to provide patient care before, during and after surgery. Julie holds degrees from Seton Hall University and San Antonio College Nursing School and has extensive experience in bariatric surgery, general surgery as well as hospital medicine. She combines superb clinical expertise with a warm and welcoming approach in caring for our patients. Her addition to our practice also helps our patients prepare for their surgery and recovery as effectively and efficiently as possible.

JoAnn Surgical Coordinator

JoAnn recently joined our practice as our new Surgical Coordinator, since Cathy has retired! She brings with her over 30 years of combined medical office experience. Although this is her first experience with surgical scheduling, she has been doing a great job assisting our patients and answering their insurance authorization questions. All patients who come to our practice for surgery, either bariatric or general, will have the opportunity to speak with JoAnn. She will be there to guide you throughout the surgical process which will include the insurance predetermination, pre-certification and all medical clearance matters. She is a pleasant and understanding individual who will do her very best to accommodate your needs!

Patricia Endoscopy and Radiology Coordinator

Patricia, or Trish as she is known to our patients, joined our staff in January of 2012. She has been working to assist our patients with their Lap-Band Adjustments, endoscopies or radiological examinations such as CT scans and MRIs recommended by Dr. Gritsus. Trish is currently attending college to obtain a degree in Nursing which appears most interesting to her. If you call our office to schedule one of the above examinations, you will have the opportunity to speak to Trish who will gladly assist you!

Janet Administrative Assistant

Janet is our Administrative Assistant. She recently joined our practice with 20+ years of administrative office experience. Janet is excited to be a member of our team. She will be greeting you when you call our office and will help you schedule your appointments and will assist you with any questions you might have. Janet is a warm, friendly and compassionate administrative professional who puts the needs of our patients first.

Beverly Billing and Reimbursement Specialist

Beverly is our Billing and Reimbursement Specialist. Beverly is responsible for ensuring that insurance companies pay for the treatments our patients need, so that patients can focus on their surgery and recovery. Beverly has extensive experience in medical billing and is always available to answer our patients’ questions regarding the insurance reimbursement process and any outstanding expenses.
